PawPosts privacy policy

PawPosts is desktop software for veterinary clinics that passes notes between the clinic's own computers, plus a Chrome extension (PawPosts Connector) that links it to ezyVet. This policy explains what information they handle. In short: clinic and patient information stays on the clinic's own computers. We never receive it.

The Chrome extension (PawPosts Connector)

• It reads the patient and owner details shown on ezyVet pages you have open (for example the pet's name, patient ID, owner name, address and phone number).
• It sends those details only to the PawPosts desktop app on the same computer, at the local address 127.0.0.1. That address never leaves the computer.
• When you click “Save to ezyVet” in PawPosts, it fills the note into ezyVet's Communications form on your screen.
• It keeps what it has read only for the current browser session. It does not track your browsing, does not run on sites other than ezyVet, contains no ads or analytics, and sends nothing to us or to anyone else.

The desktop app

• Notes, note forms (models), groups and settings are stored on the clinic's own computers: on the PC chosen as the “hub” and on each workstation. They travel only across the clinic's own network.
• Automatic backups are kept on the same computers.
• Updates are downloaded from the clinic's hub PC.
• A “problem report” is a text file the app saves on your computer. It contains version numbers, connection status and recent error messages — no note text and no patient or client details. It is sent to us only if you choose to email it.

Licensing and purchases

When a clinic buys a license we keep the clinic's name, contact person, email address, number of workstations and license dates, to issue and renew the license and to provide support. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store card numbers. We do not sell or share this information.
