How can we help?

Step-by-step guides, fixes for common problems, and a real person when you need one.

Getting started

1 · Install PawPosts

Run the installer on each workstation. On the PC that stays on all day, open Options and tick “This computer is the hub”. On the others, type the hub PC’s name in Options and click Test the connection.

2 · Add the Chrome extension

Install PawPosts Connector from the Chrome Web Store on each PC that uses ezyVet. Open a patient in ezyVet — PawPosts shows the pet at the bottom of its window.

3 · Send your first note

Press Ctrl+Alt+N for a phone note with the patient filled in. Fill it in, click Choose to pick a person, workstation or group, and Send.

4 · Make it yours

Edit the starter models or build your own: text boxes, tick boxes, pick lists, alarms and ezyVet merge words. Options → Models exports them to share with another clinic.

Fix a problem

The extension doesn’t show the patient

Check PawPosts is running on that PC and the extension is turned on in chrome://extensions. Press F5 in ezyVet once, or click the PawPosts icon in Chrome.

A workstation can’t connect to the hub

On that PC open Options → General → Test the connection; it says what’s wrong in plain words. Most often Windows Firewall on the hub PC needs to allow PawPosts on Private networks.

Notes aren’t arriving on another PC

Make sure that PC shows “connected” at the bottom of Options and that the note was sent to its person, workstation or group. Notes wait on the hub until the PC reconnects.

Windows says “protected your PC” when installing

Click More info → Run anyway. It appears for new downloads; updates sent from your hub don’t show it.

An update didn’t install

It retries by itself. If it still fails, quit PawPosts on that PC and run the installer by hand — your notes and settings are kept.

Save to ezyVet stopped part-way

The note is always copied as well: click in ezyVet’s communication box and press Ctrl+V. If it keeps happening, send us a problem report.

Moving the hub to a new PC

Email us before you switch and we’ll walk you through it — the hub’s notes and models move with one folder, and the new hub’s address is updated on each workstation.

Tip: in PawPosts, Options ▾ › Send a problem report collects the version numbers, hub connection and recent errors — no patient information — so we can help faster.

What support covers

✓Installing, setting up and using PawPosts and its Chrome extension
✓Problems with PawPosts itself, fixed in an update when needed
✓Help with models, groups, licenses and billing
✕Your clinic’s PCs, network, firewall, Windows or Chrome — please ask your IT provider
✕ezyVet itself — contact ezyVet support

The ezyVet features rely on how ezyVet’s screens work. If an ezyVet update changes them, those features may pause briefly until we release a fix — notes, messages and alarms keep working.
